1. What is "Game Swap Ireland" ?
Game Swap Ireland is a free web site that allows people to trade video games with each other.
It is intended mainly for Irish users, however, we have no problem with people from anywhere in the world using it.

2. How do I use "Game Swap Ireland" ?
The main thing you need to do to use the site is to register as a user. You can do this by clicking here .
Registering is totally free, and once you have registered, you can put up ads with the games you have that you want to swap.

3. How do I tell a person that I'm interested in a game they are offering
If you see a game that you would like advertised on the site, click the game and you will be brought to the details page for that game.
At the bottom of the page, you will see a button that says "Reply to this posting". Click on this button and you need to fill in your name, email address and a message. In the message, tell the person who advertised the game you are interested in what you are offering to swap for their game.
Once you have filled in all the fields, the website will send an email on your behalf to the advertiser (of the game you are interested in). It's then up to the advetiser of the game to get back to you. They will do this directly via e-mail, as your e-mail address will be sent to them also.
Hopefully you will be able to agree a swap with the advertiser, and then you need to exchange games. For more information on how you exchange games, please read the next section.

4. How do I exchange a game with somebody ?
Once you have agreed to swap a game with somebody, you need to somehow, get your game to them, and they need to get their game to you.

The 2 main ways to do this are:
(1) Meet the person at an agreed location, and do the exchange .
or
(2) Post the games to each other.

Posting the games requires a lot more trust, and you should be totally comfortable with doing this.

Do NOT let somebody pressure you into exchanging games via the post, if you are not comfortable to do so.
If somebody does this, please let us know (admin@gameswapireland.com)and we will create a blacklist of such users, that will be posted on the site (currently there are no blacklisted users).

5. I've swapped a game with somebody - now what ?
The main thing to do is to edit your advertisement and set it's "Available" status to "No".
You can also email us (admin@gameswapireland.com) the details of whom you swapped with, and we will add it to a user whitelist (i.e. a list of reputable users)

6. I posted a game to someone, and they never sent the swap game to me !! What do I do ?
Please read FAQ Number 4 - "How do I exchange a game with somebody ?".
You should NOT swap a game via the post unless you trust the person you are swapping with.
Game Swap Ireland will not be held responsible for unsuccessful swaps like this.
We are only the advetiser for the items to swap, we do not guarantee the people that you deal with.
We are similar to any other advertising site - we only facilitate people to place advertisements, and we cannot vouch for the actual people.
If you are in the unfortunate position of this happening, please email us (admin@gameswapireland.com) with all the details and we will also contact the other party involved, and try to help to resolve the issue.
As stated above, we cannot be held repsonsible for the users of the site, but we will, of course, do our best to help resolve any situation that may arise.
